Helen Lewis was a young Czechoslovakian dancer living in Prague
with her new husband when the Nazis arrived. At first subjected to
harsh anti-Jewish laws, they were eventually deported to Auschwitz
and never saw each other again. After the war she returned to
Prague to learn of her husband's unfortunate fate. Eventually she
remarried and settled in Belfast where she became involved in dance
